Make sure you don't pick up
any dangerous hitchhikers

You've been planning this trip for ages, and taking your dog with you is all part of the experience. The excitement of the open road, new sights, new places... But whether you're travelling from town to town or through bush land, you can bet your dog will be spending more time exploring. That's when they're likely to come into contact with native animals and flora, increasing the chances of picking up any number of parasites found in grass and bush land - or suffer from insect bites.

And while most of these can make life uncomfortable for your dog the real danger comes from the Paralysis Tick which, if undetected, could ultimately prove fatal.

Avoid fleas and ticks coming along for the ride

If you're travelling to the East Coast of Australia, you need to protect your dog against the dangerous Paralysis Tick. But remember, your dog will be mixing with the locals, whether ifs coming into contact with native wildlife or other travelling pets. And of course, caravan parks, picnic areas and walking areas can be hots pots for flea eggs. But even if fleas do hitch a lift, it won't be for long - Advantix has been shown to break the flea life cycle by killing both adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes.

With Advantix you can be sure your dog is free to enjoy the trip as much as everyone else.

Send Paralysis ticks - and friends - packing

Easy to apply, with just a few drops to your dog's coat, Advantix acts as a barrier to repel Paralysis Tick, Brown Dog or Bush Tick, mosquitoes, sand flies and other biting insects. In fact, it's the only spot-on product proven to repel paralysis ticks. Plus, 100% of the repelled ticks will then die.

As for any fleas, it puts an end to them feeding within 3-5 minutes, stopping them from making your dog's life a misery and reduces the incidence of Flea Allergy Dermatitis. And even when your dog gets wet or goes swimming you can rely on Advantix to keep on working.

Before you go

Check the tyres, top up the oil etc etc, and if you haven't used Advantix on your dog before it's advised - for optimal protection - that you start your treatment a month before travelling. To safeguard against Paralysis Tick apply Advantix every 14 days.
